If 26 Pubbies support Lott, then they will have confirmed that they view the Senate as a private club and not as public service. If Lott is supported by the Republican Senate, then I will not be able to support the Republican Senate, and each Republican Senator will richly deserve the electoral pastings they will receive, starting in 2004.

Have you considered that they are finally circling the wagons so this thing will go away, and the show of solidairity if for that reason alone? It's best to do any fighting in private, so until we know for sure, any talk now could be just disinformation of manouvering.
And giving Lott a chance to negotiate an exit.Best to have him go, if go he shall, on decent terms.

You guys keep hoping that Lott will be voted out as Majority Leader. If he is voted out, what happens if he gets mad and
resigned. That means that the Democrat Governor gets to pick
a democrat, that makes the senate 50-50 again. ONe of those
RINO would break, and become independent, giving the Democrats majority, and we have Tiny Tom again. I say that I rather take my chances in 2004, after the Republicans have set the priorities that will help the American people.
