Lott WAS simply being nice to an old man, a party leader who had been repeatedly RE ELECTED to his post faithfully for DECADES by his constituency. I guess you think the majority of folks who voted thurmond into office, time and time again were evil as well eh?

I have NO love for Lott. Said it repeatedly. I just don't like the validation and support racist democratic strategy is getting from this useless self imolation we have engaged AFTER the un eraseable fact of what Lott's mouth has uttered in the minds of many "race bait" takers here.

I point out again that even MANY prominent liberals do NOT think lott is racist, and believe he is EXACTLY what I have said... a guy who has foot in mouth disease, who slipped up in a very minor way, publicly... and THEY accept his apology and explanation on face value.

I have no doubt others would do a better job. I hope they will. I also expect that this "proceedure" will become a great favorite of the 'neobolshivists' of the left... as they seek to engage in a race war, in time for the next presidential elections.

The race war has been ongoing and the Lott added fuel to their fire. Then, he not only couln't defent his remarks, historically or presently afte the monumental gaffe and then he capitulated on Monday night during his BET Classic and sold out himself, southerners, the GOP, Pickering, and on, and on, stopping just short of endorsing reparations.

We no longer will have a moron leading the charge and, Lord I pray, will stand up for our people that are defendable on the issues in this war when they are attacked.

Got it right? Hardly! In fact every single lame speculation you have made about my politics is 100% wrong. I am a cradle Republican. I support Bush. I support NAFTA. I loathe Buchanan and the Buchananite wing of the party. I am a free market globalist with the caveat that slow and carefully staged progress must be expected on that front.

I support small gov't, maximum liberty for all, personal accountability, the rule of law and a strong defense. Nothing new --- I have always supported these things.

I notice you neglected to deal with my absolutely accurate criticism that Lott's asinine crack could only have come from a Yellow Dog Democrat in Republican clothing, not a true Republican.
