Nope. I said the Dems are playing politics. I've never been convinced that they as a whole really give a rat's ass about race.
Fine. And I've said that I was offended--as a conservative, a Republican, and an American--by Lott's remarks. If your point is that the Dems have nothing to say on this matter, either because of their own hypocrisy, their own history, or their own political intentions, very well. But this is a debate for Republicans to have with one another, and the fact that the Dems may delight in seeing Lott step down as ML (a dubious assumption) matters not to me.

Even if Lott leaves altogether, the accusations against the Republican Party will not go away. The media and the left will just look for another victim. And either we as Republicans continue to walk on pins and needles wondering if everything we say will be misinterpreted, or we stand up, untied as a party, against this crap.
