Here are my thoughts on this subject.

One of the many great things about this country is that we enjoy so many freedoms unlike other places in the world. Those freedoms include the right to refuse service to anyone as well as the right to to refuse to do busness with anyone and especially the right to bring everyone's attention to when someone denies you service simply because you're a conservative or a freeper or you're a politically incorrect person.

What the fella simply was doing was calling everyone's attention to the fact that he was denied service simply because the person running the station didn't like what he looked like. Other people heard about this and are vowing not to do business with that place ever again. That is what this nation is all about. The right to address these matters and choose who we do business with.

It's too bad that we have some Democrat plants (and yes, Chancellor Palpatine whather you like it being said or not you are indeed a Democrat plant) who are choosing to have a problem with people like myself being called to attention on this matter so we'll know who not to do business with. NOBODY wants to do business with someone with a bad attitude like that. There is no getting along with people who want to deny service to those simply because they don't like what they stand for or what their politics are. This fella needs to be put out of business for this kind of attitude and I'm sure people will notice this and take their business elsewhere.

As I've said people do have a right to deny service to whoever they want but we as consumers also have the right not to do business with these people also.
Regards.

I agree with most of your post, but the guy wasn't denied service. In fact, he was given a free tank of gasoline.

the right to refuse service to anyone

While I agree with you, there are some pinheaded bureaucrats in Washington DC at the EEOC and Civil Rights Division of the Justice Dept. who wouldn't.

EXACTLY why I wanted to post this in the first place.

HoustonCurmudgeon, God bless you. I have a few gripes about the Republican Party myself that arent all that flattering to their supposed efforts. A few years back, I tried to get involved with the Women's branch, and got used and abused by the socialites that run the club. I went in with the purpose to become involved with a local campaign or get a better understanding of how the public sector works, and instead I was treated to snobbery. Very little is being done by these people to reach out to ALL levels of society in this county, mostly because they believe they will not have to work for it.

Jon Matthews says a lot of things that I agree with. If he cuts you off, its because 1) HE's the host of a radio show and YOU are not! 2) He has topics he would like to stay on and ramblings from people who want to debate details only serve to create chaos on a show. I have listened to enough radio to understand that some callers are not as focused and have an agenda of their own, and its not always to debate a subject but to browbeat someone because they are saying something that isnt liked.

If you think you can do better, have your own radio show for the area that you want.
