Absolutely incredible. The towers are still down and will be down for about a week and almost as soon as the information is noticed the Cal ISO removes the restriction. NOPE, NOTHING WRONG HERE, JUST MOVE ALONG AND DON'T LOOK TOO MUCH, NOTHING TO SEE, EVERYTHING IS JUST FINE.

The following is from the Cal ISO Oasis Website operating notices:

Restricted Maintenance Operations CANCELLATION [200201361] Effective 12/17/2002 13:07 the California Independent System Operator has terminated Restricted Maintenance Operations. Restricted Maintenance Operations has been in effect since 12/17/2002 06:00. This message is from Market Operations at the California ISO. This notice cancels notice 200201359 Notice issued at: 12/17/2002 13:09 ---------------------------------- DISCLAIMER

I am getting to be suspicious.

I don't know the grid well enough to make any intelligent comments. Maybe they brought up some SoCal plants to pick up the load that would have come through the downed transmission lines? Maybe they're counting on the weekend coming up? I dunno'

Well, Kerchoff can't be fooled, so we should know shortly if the blackouts spread.
