What about Clinton's refusal to take Bin Laden when offered to him on a silver platter? We may not be facing a worldwide Al Qaeda terrorist network today.

I agree. One GOOD sincere apology given the day after the slip of the tongue would have been great. Too bad that Lott couldnt force himself to make one. Whether racial insensitivity, denial, laziness (after all would have to use his precious vacation time to drive to a TV studio) or just hubris, he screwed up big time.

This could have been over December 6th but no, Lott couldnt be troubled. He couldnt even start to say the right words until the White House had taken him to the wood shed in public. What a worthless example of a leader.
