I did mention in a post that Lott should have selected you (yes you) to write a formal speech for him about the old Lott, the new Lott, the old south, and the new south, and what was wrong about the former, and why, and to apologize for his failure to denounce segregation in no uncertain terms as a moral matter for the entirety of his career.
