Bill Clinton was quoted in Lani Guiniere's book as saying, We wouldn't be having all these problems if we had won the war. If people would just open their mouths and repeat that the first Black president was a racist, maybe the Black voters would open their eyes and realize that they are being used.
Guiniere realized it when she wrote the book, but they bought her off with an appointment as a tenured professor at Harvard.

Eva, they are not being "used" their eyes are wide open. Every major domestic program passed in the last 50 years have been targeted straight at them. People vote their self-interests and when it comes to blacks, their self-interests lay clearly with the democrats. This has nothing at all to do with racism except as a tool to fight avoid questioning the efficacy of the Great Society and its progeny.
