The photo of the kid in front of the painting struck me with a thought. Just a fleeting one really. It's like we're stuck in a weird sort of time warp. Here we are, in the 21st century, a modern nation. We put men on the moon, we accomplish things via technology and advanced thought that are, honestly, miracles. We have raised ourselves far above the savage plain/plane (could be both I guess). Yet here we are, trying to coexist with characters that are straight out of Conan the Barbarian movie. Side by side, you've got the most advanced people in the entire known universe and these mindless, murdering heathens who are born and bred, seemingly, for nothing more than killing every single one of us.

And the irony is, we, in our "advanced liberal state" have entire armies of people in our midst that actually defend these throat cutting vermin (ie democrats, Europeans et al). It's like a sign of our times that yesterday there was an article about a cannibal homo in Germany who actually advertised in the want ads for his victim and found one. The victim agreed to let the pervert kill him and eat him. This is the liberals today. They are offering themselves up willingly to be killed.

It's just... weird. It's like some wormhole or "stargate" to another dimension is open in our world and we have these barbaric savages pouring through into our civilized world. I don't know. I can't really articulate it any better than that.

Thanks for the post.

Indeed. This is a clash not only of civilizations, but of the savages against modernity itself. The libs agree with the barbarians, insofar as they are against modernity themselves---or so they claim. In reality, I don't think most of them would last a day without their soy, non-fat Lattes and their free, weekly newspapers!
