This is a good point. We are dealing with more or less ideas from the Leftists and they're using them not only against Lott, but against our party. Rather than allowing the Leftist racial activists to lie/spin political points they are unable to grasp, and pin them on either our party or members therein, let's adjudicate the accuser(s) first.

We don't see/hear party Leftist affiliations in the media, only conservative. How would the nation react if they were made aware (in a footnote...) of any of these accusers racist pasts?

It is the old commie tactic - accuse your enemy of what you yourself are doing. Then, when it is found out YOU are doing what you are accusing your enemy of doing, they will have taken the media hit for you and it won't seem so bad when it's found out that YOU are the one really engaging in the activity.

Saul Alinsky, an anti-American socialist personally taught this tactic to Hillary Rodham.
