Look I am no fan of Lott. But I am also not in the Senate. Lott seems to be the best leader there, according to the other R senators. If this breaks him it could hurt the party as a whole. The Democrats want him to stay (which makes me more against him).

Newt was a great leader in my opinion he brought us 1994. What did he get for it. Booted out.

Now I can't put Lott in that category. I really believe that Bush is the one pushing the buttons. If Nickles can take over then great. I just do not know that he can.

Even if he did take over though I would hope Lott could remain and help the party get some Democrat cross-over votes that we will need to get anything passed.
