Screaming, no. But ever since his handling of the impeachment, it has been an embarrassment to the party that an invertabrate such as him would be it's leader.

You can judge a man by the company he keeps and you can judge a party by the leader it has selected. His spineless carcass in the leadership role is not about him, it is about the republican party, such that it is.
