Seems strange to see this sort of warning in California!

Back in '82 we had "the storm of the century." Oodles of properties damaged, a number of deaths. One area, called Love Creek was inundated by a mudslide. The houses are still buried. Now that we're in a new century, maybe this is ANOTHER "storm of the century." At least we're being warned this time; we weren't before.

Oh boy! Do I remember that one. I worked for the local flood control district at the time. The waste water treatment plant was under five feet of water. We were dumping 13 million gallons/hr. of untreated water to the bay. And, we shoveled three 10yd. dump trucks worth of sand bags. Whew!
