Immigration may not look like much of a problem in Ohio, but down here in Texas it is getting worse by the day. I don't give a damn if President Bush gets us a nice tax cut or a puts a couple of semi-conservative judges on the bench if the price is going to be having my home turned into a third world hell hole ten or fifteen years from now.
As to Trent Lott, sure have him resign, just as soon as the dems throw Robert Byrd and the rest of his ilk to the NAACP wolves. We wouldn't want the racial sensitivity lynching to be selectively enforced, would we?
I still consider myself an Arizonian. I was born there, and lived there for 25 years, so I know all about immigration and its problems.
But the Lott problem has nothing to do with immigration and everything to do with Lott being a moron, who compounded his error several times over. Now he is trying to blackmail the party: "If I can't keep my little position, I'll resign altogether." Yeah, there's a person of principle.
Oh, and those "couple of judges" make all the difference in the WORLD in how you enforce immigration law. It was a court, not the voters, which undid Prop. 209.
