"So, whachyoutalkin'bout boy?"

I will assume you were trying to be cute there...kinda fell short.

"I am most concerned with the Democratic party's bias against Asian-Americans."

Another topic that doesnt have anything to do with the discussion.

Like I said...

This needs to be looked at cerebrally not emotionally.

If anyone honestly wants Lott to be the face of this party for the next two years [and you better believe that the media will defer to images of Lott before GW] then IMHO you have no grasp of modern politics and like most fools are willing to go down with the ship in order to make a statement that wont resonate past the clicking of your keyboard.

Hmm. . .you mean they'll forget about how OUR president is supposedly stupider than a box of rocks and actually let him go about the people's business while the media and Democraps are focusing on the subtext of comments at a birthday party? More and more, that sounds like a good idea. My idea: Lott can step down ONLY IF he promises NOT to resign his seat AND he says that all the other racists must step down also. On the other hand, he can stay ML ONLY IF he promises Republicans that he will push through a conservative agenda without ANY kowtowing to the Democraps.

Look, in 1948 you had Thurmond running on a die-hard segregationist platform. At the same time you had Harry Truman telling the French to go ahead and move back into their Asian colonies. This touched off the Vietnam war!

You also had Truman reimposing the Japanese colonial puppet Singman Rhee on the Korean people. At that very moment Kim Il Sung and the Nationalists fled North! Ultimately this led to the Korean War. Truman entered that war for purposes that had nothing to do with the welfare of the Korean people - he'd already shown that he didn't particularly care for them when he brought back Rhee.

Now, when you look at what Lott is saying - that he preferred Thurmond because it would have been better today, I think a serious analyst really would consider the value of NOT having had the Korean War or the Vietnam War, something possible if and only if Truman had lost, or, if you are a serious analyst, and still prefer Truman even though such preference brings with it the millions of people dead in both wars, as well as our own dead and butchered, then I'd say you have a rather bloodthirsty view of the world and should be watched closely by competent personnel.
