Premier Roger Grimes not only favours decriminalizing marijuana use, he thinks it should be legalized, produced in factories and taxed like tobacco to pay for services like health care. Grimes, who admitted to experimenting with pot in his youth, said its a federal matter to decide.
Im saying if I ever were to run federally, Id probably put in my plank that we should not only decriminalize it, we should legalize it have it produced in factories and plants, raise some revenues from it and treat it the same as alcohol. Put an age limit on it and recognize theres some use of it out there, make it safer, make some money from it, he told reporters Wednesday.
Legislation in new year
On Monday, federal Justice Minister Martin Cauchon said Ottawa wanted to move quickly on the issue and could bring in legislation early in the new year to decriminalize pot use.
Grimes said, however, pot didnt turn him on.
I experimented with it way back in university days thats over 30 years ago for me. I didnt like it. It didnt do anything for me.
Opposition Tory Leader Danny Williams wont say whether he favours decriminalizing marijuana until he discusses it with his caucus.
I dont think it would be fair for me right now to speak outside the caucus. We do operate as a caucus on issues like that, said Williams, who said hes also experimented.
For about 10 seconds I did use it, yes, he said.

How about the Bush is a moron crackI disagree that Bush is a moron---but is being 'under the influence' the only possible explanation for that crack? What was Trent Lott on when he said a Strom Thurmond victory in '48 would have prevented "all these problems"?

Sheesh, I found a thread with the keyword "MrLeroy is dumb" earlier today, and now this one with "Leroy blows". You must have whooped someone good in an argument lately.

Kind of like FR's version of "taggers".

Yeah, right. A legend in your own mind.
Your definition of "whoopin' *ss" is "I kept spouting all the stock phrases until the other guy got bored and left!"
It helps to be persistent, and single-issue freaks like yourself have all the time in the world.

That's interesting! In my own opinion, you dopers' *sses are whooped every day here, but since you typically haven't sufficient functioning neurons, you mostly don't know it.

"...functioning neurons..." bump.
LOL!! You clowns just don't know when to leave well enough alone, do you?
Admit it, Illbay, if we conducted a random test of intelligence, there is ZERO doubt in my mind that the pro-WOD posters here would bring up a rather miserable rear.
Seriesly! But this debate has never been about reason and justice; it's all about money and power.
When the WOD gravy-train gets derailed, half of our pro-WOD posters will become Mall Cops.
The money will be substantially less. ;^)
