The incidence of oral cancer in this case is only .005%. If there has been a 50% increase, that means that the original incidence was .003%. Yeah, this is an insideous problem, huh? It's also worth mentioning that smoking, chewing, and drinking are also correlated with oral cancer. No mention of these factors in the article. Sloopy science, but if you want to use it to further the puritan crusade, by all means do so, you'll only look silly.
