God’s Fury is Building (Israel)
Koenig's International News ^ | 12/11/02 | Bill Koenig

Posted on 12/12/2002 5:59:57 AM PST by truthandlife

Have you noticed lately that the whole world seems to be headed toward a crescendo of some sort—with Israel (and, secondarily, the United States) right in the epicenter? Why, just today the crescendo intensified, as President Bush upped the ante with the US’s new defense strategy of being prepared to use "overwhelming force'' -- including nuclear weapons -- in response to any chemical or biological attack. And, once again, Israel is right in the epicenter!

As John McTernan stated in our book, “Israel: The Blessing or the Curse,” God is using Israel as an anvil to destroy the false teachings, doctrine and prophecies toward Israel, as well as the false doctrines and the misunderstandings of the Bible taught by the Catholic Church, the churches represented by the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches and the Koran pertaining to Israel.

Why are the leaders at the Vatican, the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches writing letters to President Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell calling on Israel to leave the occupied (disputed) land, while other Christian leaders who know better aren’t writing letters or placing phone calls?

A friend of mine knows personally three high-ranking officials of a major US denomination. Each of his friends has been to Israel thirty-plus times, and each man has access to President Bush. Late last year I wondered out loud why his three powerful friends aren’t speaking out about the “land for peace” process. Sadly, my friend stated that these leaders have other agendas and don’t want to spend their political capital.

Also, why aren’t the many “self-proclaimed” prophets, disciples and apostles warning their people about Israel and the devastation that is rapidly coming to America?

Putting this all into perspective, regardless of what happens our Lord will use all of this to bring His redemptive plan to completion. We already know the general direction of how all of this is going to play out, so in reality this won’t be a big surprise for those with ears to hear and eyes to see.

We do know that unless the US and world leaders change their course towards Israel’s covenant land, the US and the nations of the world will be shaken to their very core.

Our Lord’s fury is building daily!

President George W. Bush needs our continued, targeted prayers pertaining to Israel.

Please ponder and pray about the questions below.

God’s Covenant Land

Will the God of Israel judge the nations who are pushing the Quartet Road Map calling for a Palestinian state on His covenant land?

Will the God of Israel judge those nations pushing the Quartet Road Map that calls for the eventual negotiations of the borders of Jerusalem, the city of the King of Kings?

Will the God of Israel judge those nations calling for the freezing of Israeli settlement activity and the eviction of Israeli settlers from Judea and Samaria?

Will the God of Israel judge those nations who continue to call on Israel to abide by UN Resolutions 242 and 338?

Relevant Scriptures:

Genesis 12:3 (KJV) And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Isaiah 28:14 (KJV) And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Zechariah 12:3 (KJV) And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Zechariah 12:9 (KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

President Bush

Will there be a tremendous personal cost for President George W. Bush’s role as the point man on the Quartet Road Map and his unwavering position on a Palestinian state?

How will the Lord deal with President George W. Bush’s call on Israel to abide by UN Resolutions 242 and 338 and the land for peace formula?

How will the Lord judge the US for using its financial strength and military muscle to persuade Israel’s Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to agree to a Palestinian state on God’s covenant land?

Will America’s financial strength and military be at risk?

What does the Lord think of the Bush Administration who has expended thousands of hours analyzing the war on terror and reviewing the Middle East situation while not referring to their Bible to see what the Lord has to say about these times?

Does the Lord’s fury build when He hears President George W. Bush state that Islam is a religion of peace and that a few people have hijacked a great religion?

Does the Lord's fury build when He hears President George W. Bush state, "Ramadan is a special time of prayer and fasting, contemplation of God's greatness and service to those in need. According to Muslim teachings, this season commemorates the revelation of God's word in the holy Koran to the prophet Muhammad. Today this word inspires faithful Muslims to lead lives of honesty and integrity and compassion"?

Does the Lord's fury build when He hears President George W. Bush state at the White House on Nov. 7 or at The Islamic Center of Washington D.C. on Dec. 6, "We see in Islam a religion that traces its origins back to God's call on Abraham. We share your belief in God's justice, and your insistence on man's moral responsibility"?

What will the Lord do with President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell for speaking against Christian leaders who have spoken about the teachings of Islam?

How will the Lord deal with President George W. Bush for not publicly acknowledging the persecution of Christians in Muslim nations?

What might the Lord think of President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush’s holiday card, that has a 1938 Steinway Piano from the Grand Foyer of the White House on the cover, with Psalm 100:5 (For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations - KJV) on the inside with no mention of Jesus Christ or Christmas anywhere on the card?

Relevant Scriptures:

Matthew 10: 33 (KJV) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Colossians 2: 8 (KJV) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Colossians 3: 2 (KJV) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

James 1: 8 (KJV) A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

1 John 4:2, 3 (KJV) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

World Churches and False Prophets

How will the Lord deal with the Vatican, the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches for calling on Israel to leave the occupied (disputed) land?

How will the Lord deal with the Christian leaders who have access to President Bush but haven’t stated the biblical view on God’s covenant land?

How will the Lord deal with the “self-proclaimed” prophets, disciples and apostles who aren’t speaking out on Israel or are leaving the people ill-prepared for what is coming to America?

How will the Lord deal with the Catholic Church for their position on Islam, and the Pope’s call for a one-day fast on the last day of Ramadan on December 14, 2001, in honor of the Muslim brothers and sisters?

What does the Lord think when he see the Vatican sign an agreement with the Palestinians on February, 2000, calling for Jerusalem to be shared by the world’s three great religions?

Relevant Scriptures:

Matthew 7: 22, 23 (KJV) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7: 15 (KJV) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 24: 11 (KJV) And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Final Thoughts

Our Lord is not a respecter of man. He is not going to let the qualities or gifts of a person stop Him from judging each individual or nation that puts the “apple of His eye” at risk. Instead He observes the actions of the leader in accordance with His written word. The leaders of the nations of the world and many church leaders appear to be on a direct collision course with God over the covenant land of Israel.

I must admit one thing about this post : It certainly is lengthy !

I wonder if the " Armageddonites " realize the extent to which Israelis , and devout Jews from all over the world , hold their "Christian" beliefs in contempt ?????

Wow, wow! I do not care much for WCC or NCC, but putting all of them together with Catholic Church and Muslims into one bag is rich.

This is irrelevant. God's will and His plan are not contingnent on what any man thinks or knows. Now you may disagree about whether the above article accurately articulates God plan, but nonetheless, His plan will come to fruition.

Well, I guess the fact I married a devout Jew and have a house full of little Jewish kids proves just how much "contempt" those ornery old mean Jews have for us Christians.

Maybe I need to take a second look at it when she complains I need to do an extra chore or two. She may put all that contempt into action and fix me up good.

BTW, I am not an Armageddonite. Only God knows when and what He is going to do. Its not up to me to obsess about those things.
have a good day.

People get worked up about earthly governments and political relationships when God's concern has always been the souls of men. Jesus came into the world to save men's souls (I John 4:9)- not to save carnal governments. The kingdom of God is spiritual, not earthly "My kingdom is not of this world:if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight..." (John 18:36, "the kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 17:21. The christian's warfare is spiritual, not concerned with earthly battles (Ephesians 6:10-17). That's the battleground we need to worry about in realtionship to God, not political affairs. Israel's situation should be judged on it's own merits, no different for better or worse than any other nation. Jewishness is of no effect now for good or ill (Romans 2:28, Romans 10:12).

Given the emphasis on the spiritual and neglect of the carnal in the New Testament, the Zechariah prophecies can be seen as speaking of Christ's church, the New Jerusalem, not brick and mortar. Regardless, the US taxpayer should not be required to support Israel as a matter of Christian necessity. Zechariah 2:5 says the Lord would be as "wall of fire round about" Jerusalem. Even if Zechariah was talking about the current nation of Israel, why would our help be needed at all? It sure seems to imply a lack of faith in God to be that wall of fire he said he would be.

>Genesis 12:3 (KJV) And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed

The way some of these people recklessly quote scripture is scary because their conclusions are no better than their premesis. Here is the context of Genesis 12:3

The GREAT NATION Promise

Genesis 12 was addressed to Abram (later Abraham), but Abraham was neither an Israelite nor a Jew:

Genesis 12:2-3 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

There were no Jews at the time of Abraham, There were not even any Israelites. There would not be any Jews for another ~1,500 years.

The "Great Nation" provision is important because since it was promised by God it will (or has) come true. As we examine the Israelites history it is clear those Israelites called Jews were never a great nation and are not one today. They don't come even close to ranking among the worlds great powers.

However, the other Israelites, the Northern Kingdom/ LostTribes/ Celts/ Europeans/ Americans are The Greatest POWER (Nation) in the history of the world. No nation in the history of the world has been a greater blessing to all the people of the earth than these Northern Kingdom Israelites!

And the other promises to Abram do enure to certain of his offspring as told in: Genesis 17:19-21

19. And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
20. And as for Ish'ma-el, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

Isaacs seed includes Jacob (renamed Israel), and those who follow in that chain are called Israelites.

All these Israelites received the promises of Abraham. But Israelites are not just those few who much later became known as Jews.

It's really irrelevant to committed Christians since they understand that the Lord God Almighty will deal with the Jews in His time and His way. Our job is to be as faithful to the wishes and desires of our Lord and King as we possibly can be. That means supporting the 'apple of His eye' and standing firm on His proclamation that the Holy Land belongs to the children of Israel. He said it (Numbers 34) and that settles it for me.

>That means supporting the 'apple of His eye' and standing firm on His proclamation that the Holy Land belongs to the children of Israel

This is confirmed in  Deuteronomy 32 as Moses speaks to ALL of the Israelites, none of whom were Jews:

8 When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance,
    when he divided all mankind,
he set up boundaries for the peoples
according to the number of the sons of Israel.
9 For the LORD's portion is his people,
    Jacob his allotted inheritance.

10 In a desert land he found him,
in a barren and howling waste.
    He shielded him and cared for him;
he guarded him as the apple of his eye,
11 like an eagle that stirs up its nest
    and hovers over its young,
that spreads its wings to catch them
and carries them on its pinions.
    12 The LORD alone led him;
no foreign god was with him.

This means we should support ALL of the Israelites, both the 99% from the Northern Kingdom who are Celts/ Europeans/ Americans and who are paying the bills for the modern state named Israel, and the 1% from the Southern Kingdom who are Jews who are doing the work on the ground and taking it back. They are cousins.

Ah, yes, Grasshopper !

But do not certain Christians refer to themselves as " the children of Israel " ??

And, while we are on the subject, why do so many Christians, whose beliefs are of the New Testament, rely so much on the Old Testament ???

Support for Israel is not a matter of "Christian necessity".

It's just the right thing to do. When you see a group of people that are about to be unjustly wiped out by their neighbors, you help them.

Israel is a great nation, but not in military or economic might.

Israel is great because it is through Israel's covenant with the Lord that the Lord reveals himself through the written record of Israel's relationship with Him. Israel is great because God chose to send through Israel Jesus our Savior. Israel is great, because practically everyone in the entire world knows about it. Most people know much more about Israel than say Mozambique or even bigger countries like South Africa.

God's promise to bless those who bless you did apparently extend to all of Abraham's decendants. But how you figure that Europe and America are decended from Abraham is beyond me. I don't think there is any historical support for that.

Blessing people is what we should be doing anyway, whether the people are Abraham's decendant's or not.

I don't think many Christian's refer to themselves as the "children of Israel". "Children of the Lord" yes. Adopted children in Israel's place, yes. (Mathew 10)
But that doesn't make Christians into Israelites or Jews.

The groups that put the most emphasis on this, tend to be cult groups that most Christians would deny are even Christian. The Mormons refer to themselves as Jews, and the rest of the world as gentiles. But the Mormons believe there are thousands of Gods and that they will themselves become God's, which is why Christains don't claim them.

Seems like Jehovah Witness's are big on that too. But that group denies the diety of Jesus as claims he was just a man. They had to develop their own scripture because normal interpretations of the Greek and Hebrew texts didn't support their view of Jesus.

Excellent article!

Two angels took Lot by the hand and took him out of Sodom.  Now the President of Sodom is trying to expel Lott for a remark which has been twisted into racism for the benefit of an agenda.  Lott should have got out of town a long time ago.  Globalism is demanding the world bend its knee to the STRONG DELUSION of multiculturalism, ecumenism and tolerance for every form of religion and every form of sin.  That is not a godly call of come up and be holy, but instead come down and be sinful and it is the gospel of the broad way to destruction.  That is an offense to G~d who said, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me," and it will be used to deify the Islamic takeover of the West and persecute Christians and Jews because No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the otherThe White House has opposed Christian leaders on Muslim issues and now seems intent on eliminating one of its own leaders, Lott.  Christians and Jews:  Look at Lot and Lott.  Remember too Lot's wife.  Learn the lessons well.
