J.C. Watts Jr...

You all must be from Nebraska, what with calling for J.C. Watts, Ron Paul and Tom DeLay for Senate Majority Leader.

News flash! Unlike Nebraska's unicameral legislature, the Congress of the United States is bicameral, consisting of the House and Senate.

J.C., much as I love him, is no longer a member of the House of Representatives. Ron Paul and Tom DeLay are both members of the House, not the Senate.

It's the Senate leadership we're debating about, thus rendering J.C., Ron, and Tom ineligible.

Howsomeever, Don Nickles of Oklahoma would (IMHO) make a fine Majority Leader.

Don clangs when he walks.

LOL! I have learned a long time ago not the trust the Free Republic great mentioner lists for offices. Seriously, I think I've heard a few Freepers calling for Ron Paul to be every possible government office holder. (House Speaker, Senate Majority Leader, Secretary of Treasury, Ambassabor to Chad, White House grassmower)
