HFC is mandatory? What do they use in other countries, plain sugar. I weined myself off of diet soda. Now I am sick of tasting this corn syrup in almost every fruit juice or nectar as well as soda. A can of Guava nectar is unbearably sweet.

1- Why is this syrup used instead of sugar?
2- What does the government do to maintain HFS's price competitive?
3- Why is it practically mandatory to use HFS?
