The resulting peace negotiations would've been interesting.
US Negotiator: "You captured France, it's yours."
Soviet Negotiator: "The peoples of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic and the member nations of the Warsaw Pact insist that France is within the United States' sphere of influence."
US Negotiator: "You ain't dumping that stuff on us. Keep France."
Soviet Negotiator: "The freedom-loving forces of World Socialism would view being forced to keep France as a hostile act."
