She worked under Bush 41 (or Reagan?) as the top analyst on Russia policy, back when they were bad and it was important.

I dunno, Tom;
According to the Bible,* "...The rain falls upon the just as well as the unjust" - or something to that effect; that would go for RADIOACTIVE rain as well, we suppose.
We live in Southern Maine, and a radioactive cloud from a Boston Ground Zero on the prevailing winds would drift right over us within an hour or two. There would probably be significant chunks of hot (in more ways than one) debris still falling out of it as it went over.
Not a good thing!
*I'm not sure just where, and too lazy to look it up right now, but feel free to check it out. I think that it's in the Book of Proverbs somewhere...

"I try to respond with a light handed remark. Californies dish it out but they cant take it." Yeah, uh huh. Wishing for LA and SF to get nuked qualifies as a light handed remark. What would constitute a medium handed remark: that they suffer the bubonic plague for a few months before they get nuked? Of course, who could blame you with all those terrible Tennessee jokes those thin-skinned Californies are famous for hurling around?
For the record, I don't live in California. My Ex does, which means my sons do part of the year. Let's just hope they have the good sense not to be out there when China does everybody a favor and makes the Left Coast glow.

Going after France isn't sporting. No it isn't.
But it is kinda fun watching them drop their weapons all at once. Sort of like a well rehearsed drill team.

Goes double for you, MORON! If you had ever seen the results of a bombing, idiots like you wouldn't find humor in nuking! Grow up!

Maybe you should get out a little more often if you think DFW is any prize!

Because the MORON who made that comment is from Tennessee! "Lighten up?" how would you like someone to NUKE your home??? Don't see anything frigging funny about it! Especially when we are on the verge of another war! Maybe you should wake up and smell the frigging coffee!!! Of course the majority of you morons never had to fill a body bag in your life either!!!

Xiong is only the deputy chief of the PLA general staff, only equal in rank and protocol to Undersecretary of defense, Doug Feith, the number 3 in the DOD
So, he is way too junior to be able to meet Pres Bush, way, way too junior

LAX is a SH&thole and I for one wouldn't miss it at ALL.
They can take SFO for all I care.

BTW I think we have suffered enough deaths from bombings in NY don't you. It has been a little over a year since 9/11 and you people appear to have very short memories. Don't bother to respond because I am not interested in having a debate with such mindless idiots who find humor in death and destruction. I am still in mourning over the death of my sister last year and a cousin who was a fireman in FDNY killed on 9/11, so I find no humor in any of this thread.

If you aren't well versed on her resume, why do you attempt to call her a token?
Engage brain before keyboard, please.
Of course, if you were from LA, you'd probably be better educated.

I think D-FW sucks. I am in a position to compare it to LA, as I was a Californian 15 years, and will say to you and anyone else that LA is a far more hideous place to live. The ONLY thing you have going for you is the weather. Absent that, it is a rat hole and worthy of Third World status.

That would be Madison, Wisconsin. As long as you're upwind and outside the blast radius, you should be OK.
