It would indeed be hilarious if Rummy wasn't tossing real tax dollars at the latest and greatest golly-gee-whiz computer game gizmo to come down the pike.
'cause Kevlar won't stop a 30-06, FMJ, at least not in any thickness you'd care to wear. ;-) .
Exactly, but they do it by killing the enemies of the United States and the Constitution, and breaking their things.
I believe that Rummy is excessively infatuated with high-tech bells and whistles and ignores the KISS principle.
Id call you a luddite, but it doesnt square with your constant agitating for the government to build big boondoogle, worthless, billion dollar, floating trains.
More Americans would travel on Maglev than on aircraft carriers.
And as part of our transportation infrastructure, Maglev would be of far greater benefit to domestic commerce.
Given our need for strong National Security, however, I also favor construction of naval vessels.
But here, Rummy is showing his spendthrift attitude with taxpayers dollars.
Given $10 billion to spend, there are two options:
Seeing that there is no other nation on the planet building anything to rival our current state of carrier technology, it is absolutely wasteful to go overboard on the high tech. Why settle for just 1 carrier when the same amount of money will buy 2?
