Posted at the request of Iman RCW2001, who apparently thought a veteran Jew should post this, RCW2001 being a veteran, whatever.
From my perspective, Pollard can rot, I disagree with Theodore Olson on this point, despite the unusual nature of his sentence vs the charge.
The real issue here is the leniant sentences given to others.

Pretty much.
There is always someone willing to advocate further lapses of justice to correct lapses from the past.
Rosenburg them all, afaiac.

Yo, RCW2001, don't know where over there is guy, but I'm glad to post this for you since
you seemed to be unable. Don't much blame you, you're pretty one sided, and don't add much to the threads anyway, your credibility is shot.
Oh well, it's all in good fun. Hey, check out LF, they have a great thread going on those fake gas chambers at Auschwitz. You'll love it.

Oops, my link to RCW's request that a Jew *astard post this didn't work. Sorry, RCW and Hillary.
For a Palestinian State - in Saudi Arabia
And you know what, RCW is correct, a state for those who call themselves palestinians in Saudi Arabia might be a good idea. Check the thread. Personally, I think the Sinai is a better idea.

Is that mean you're a veteran who's Jewish or that you've just been Jewish for a long time. /Rhetorical....

... We should be able to accomplish no less for Jonathan Pollard, our brother ...
I hope not.

I agree with many of these view points. As a sign of good will and friendship between these two great allies, I believe Pollard should be released. He has spent enough time in prison.
You can expect Israel to do the same if it catches a US spy operating in Israel. The US probably has spies in Israel in the first place as well.

Pollard is where Al Gore should be, for also having committed espionage at the Buddhist temple.

Oh, please. Not more whining over Pollard. Look, if we hang Hanson and one or two others on the same gibbet, can we also hang Pollard without begin accused of anti-Semitism?
I'd like to see 'em all dance (including that slut who sold intelligence to Cuba and then stated she was proud of it).

Every case of releasing captives is special, but the case of Reb Chaim Yehoshua was of extra importance. Such is the case with Jonathan Pollard.
Could someone please tell this guy to put his pen down?
The two cases have noting in common. Reb Chaim Yehoshua has been wronged by an oppressive Russian tsarist regime, and freeing him would be correcting that wrong.
In contrast, Pollard has wronged (betrayed) his own country that has treated him not only fairly but entrusted him matters of survival. And, also in contrast, unlike Russia which imposed on the Jews the pale of settlement and other restrictions, the Jews in this country enjoy full equality. So neither at the personal level nor for Jews in general these two cases have anything in common.
Pollard should rot in jail. SJackson, I agree completely with your assessment: the lack of proportion is there but it arose not because Pollard is treaed harshly but because others were treated all to liniently.
RCW2001 can sleep well now. (Liberty/Pollard is like a cady for this little girl).

As much as I admire Israel, respect her and her continuing battle against terrorism, on this issue I will be forever in opposition against those seeking release of the mercenary traitor Pollard.
I can give a rat's ass if people think his sentence is too light. I agree with you that the other sentences were too lenient. Pollard should have been shot. Then stood up, and shot again.
I hope he dies in prison a long long long time from now. And, oh, by the way, if the Israelis want to help out, they can pay his food bills.

Pollard should have been hanged for his treason, but so should much of the Clintons' politburo, for their treason.
To: SJackson
We all still owe Jonathan Pollard. We owe him what any other traitor should get -- a firing squad.

The game is like this- we have to play hardball with pollard or every spy in the world will think we are easy targets.
Isrealis have to try their hardest to get them out, or no one will be willing to risk spying.
Pollard should and will rot until we have someone very important we want to trade him for...
