Never underestimate the ability of China to fall on its face.

The only way it WON'T, will be if it becomes almost totally/officially Christian.

Its a myth in the interior countryside as people are still relatively poor their. In Shanghai and other coastal areas its not a myth.

Some of our numbers are fudged as well. Our "productivity gains" are mostly smoke and mirrors. People working on salary for "officially" 40 hours, but working 60 instead get more work done, only officially working 40 hours. They aren't producing 10% more an hour.

Statistics lie.

Read Ben Franklin. Read Max Weber. The latter wrote "The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism."

The former wrote Poor Richard's Almanac. If old Ben had NOT been right, Richard would still be poor.

Right, like Mexico, Nicaragua, Argentina, etc. You can't swing a dead cat in those countries without hitting 3 churches, the people are far more Christian than Americans, and that's why they are so far ahead of us economically.

Ben Franklin recognized the old protestant work ethic was good for capitalism but Ben himself was a staunch deist.

I said it was necessary, but never said it was sufficient.

And I didn't say it was NECESSARY, even, for every last spot on earth, but for China, it would be...

Japan, did OK without it but now is beginning to suffer from lack of the Cross of Jesus.

We'll build on the Rock, the Solid Rock, on Jesus the Rock of Ages!

That's how we Survive, the Fearful Shock, when Loud the Tempest Rages!

So do as he says, not as he does. Typical American. Listen to him but don't imitate him.

If China experiences an economic collapse its politicians are likely to turn to one of the oldest tricks in the book and distract the people with foreign enemies and foment a war.

The only market in China is cheap labor.
They can't afford to buy what they produce.
It won't be long before the Average American achieves economic parity with this global standard.

Now they are suffering from bad Government managed lending and protectionism.

Church buildings, they have, but do they actually have Christianity, are they born again, does Jesus dwell with them?

Has the Reformation hit there yet? The Enlightenment?

"Not Everyone who says unto me, Lord, Lord, will get into the Kingdom, but only He who Doeth the Will of My Father which is in Heaven."

Many of those places you mention are even anti-Semitic, how can God bless them? How did they vote on the Jerusalem Law this week, No like the US, or abstain like some euro-wimps, or YES!!!

By their fruits you shall know them, can a good tree bring forth such evil fruit?

Lack of the grace of God in other words.

The little wheel runs by faith, but the Big Wheel runs by the Grace of God.

Think what an awful curse it is in Spanish to say of someone, "Desgracido," or "Desgracia."

But those words only mean, "Without (or lacking in) in the Holy Spirit, or the presence thereof"

Whole continents are perishing for want of it, the whole Islamic world first. Japan too, has gone further than it can go, reflecting a fire [eternal fire of holy spirit] from the USA, but now turns out to have no fire of its own.

"Give us, I pray thee, of thy oil, for OUR LAMPS ARE GOING OUT!" [forgive me for thinking of Gray Davis, but there too is a place that is relatively lacking in the Holy Ghost]..."...But the Wise virgins shall say unto them, no, not at all, for there would not be enough for us AND you! Go instead to those who sell [ie Christian missionaries] and buy of them!"..."But while they were going to buy, the Lord came, and entered into His Glory, and the DOOR WAS SHUT!" And afterward came those who had had to go buy oil of the merchantmen, and said, Lord, Lord, open unto US!"

But Jesus saith unto them, I never knew you. Depart into Outer Darkness, where there shall be weeping, and gnashing of teeth."

That pretty well describes the whole damned [AND I DO MEAN "DAMNED"] Dar al-Islam, doesn't it! Outer Darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth! Everybody there wants to get out of it, and go live in Christendom, but what does Jesus say? I never knew you, depart ...
