Hmmmm...So I did hear right.

I'm surprised I hadn't heard of this before. It's a fairly big deal. I'm specifically surprised that I haven't seen this mentioned on Free Republic. I've never seen any of the fundementalists bashing Jefferson over this and that really surprises me.

What's to bash? He didn't write a new Bible and he didn't try to repudiate the original. He merely made a seperate list of verses attributed to Jesus. But I guess you are right, Jefferson haters will stoop as low as they have to go to get their man.

I dont know about Jefferson bashers but any religion that doesn't state "Jesus is my lord and savoir" (Or whatever it is) takes quite a beating from fundementalists around here. (Which is why I have a problem with them). They're not tolerant of other religions at all.
