Boston Archdiocese Seeks Moral Bankruptcy
The archdiocese of Boston is seeking permission from the Vatican to declare moral bankruptcy. Of course they remain silent about the moral part, due to their inability to sort that kind of thing out.
In the archdiocese effort to retain their extensive real estate holdings they are considering legal bankruptcy proceedings to get out of paying the monetary compensatory responsibility they have to the children they have screwed.
Screw them once; screw them twice they plan to continue to do what they do best. The institutional cover by the church for their pedophiles is as shameful as the pedophilia itself as it enabled the pedophiles to continue their shameful ways. If Bernard Law and his co-conspirators go through with this bankruptcy I hope their laity has the decency to desert this morally bankrupt and arrogant institution.

Maybe they could sell off some of their cathedral real estates to the Muslims in the area and liquidate their assets of gold on the altars

What happens if/when bankrupcy is approved ? are their assests sold off ? do the churches/schools get sold ? all the gold & jewelry get auctioned off ? cemetaries etc...get sold ?

Actually, in Chicago on Irving Park Road by the lakefront, there is an ex-Catholic girls grade school (Immaculata) that is now an Islamic institute (or something Islamic).
The irony is just too ...

What good would this do? It solves absolutely no problems.

Daryl, what's the deal with your web page? When I click past the shockwave presentation it displays fine, but when I let it automatically advance to www.free-press.biz/usa/pointer.htm, it gets stuck in some sort of loop (with or without popup stopper being on) and I have to exit the browser.

It is worth a fortune and the college wants to pay it but the church doesn't want to sell.

All of Boston must be heading for moral bankruptcy but only the Church is condemned.. . Look at the President Summers of Harvard's apology for past actions on gay sexual aberrations. Church accepting homosexual practices bad - Harvard accepting homosexual practices good. What goes?
This is excerpted from a recent Buchanan article.
----------
"Are today's Harvard students and faculty and Summers truly ignorant that there was a time, not long ago, when campus orgies were grounds for expulsion? In some colleges, bringing a member of the opposite sex into one's dorm for purposes of sex can still get you expelled. As for homosexual parties, they still mean immediate severance from the Armed Forces of the United States.
What is revealing about this episode is not what was done in 1920, but that an Ivy League president feels compelled to apologize for it in 2002. Does Summers realize what he is saying?
He is declaring that homosexual sodomy, even orgies, in the dorms at Harvard are protected social conduct, fully consistent with the moral character expected of students. Harvard's moral values are now the values of the San Francisco bathhouse.
Harvard's code is now based on Summers' values, which hold that the old moral code of Christianity, which teaches that sexual relations between men are unnatural and immoral, is "abhorrent and an affront to the values of our university."
Harvard has not only turned its back on its Christian past, it has just renounced its Christian roots as poisoned and perverted.
If Harvard is educating America's leaders, this country is not Slouching Toward Gomorrah, we are sprinting there."

Maybe Boston is leading the sprint. Full article at

There is a popup with a cool sound file that I didn't want to loop everytime you open the main page. I don't know why it's looping on your browser.

Thanks. I got it playing now (as long as it's not an ad for the X10 camera! LOL!)

I think the diocese feels confident that legally the diocese owns the land in trust for the parishes. Thus any parish's absolute right to its parish church building is not able to be liquidated.
Otherwise the diocese would not consider filing for bankruptcy.
Remember, the bankruptcy law applies to everyone - even the diocese. EVERYONE who lives in the USA who has any connection to a mutual fund or a public or private pension fund, etc., has indirectly recieved benefits from bankruptcy protection at some time (I would argue that accounts for virtually 100% of the population).

A little off topic...
Immaculata ? I thought I never had to hear/read that name again. The Nuns in my school used to hold up the Immaculata student as THE model student. Immaculata this, Immaculata that.
When in actuallity, all the students in my school were brilliant. The nuns even admitted so......they kept referring to us as "wise guys".

thanx....good explanation.

I have to wonder if this problem the Church has been having--namely the sexual abuse and then its coverup--is of relatively recent origin. Or has this always gone on? Whatever the cause, it's odious. There are always bad apples, but to cover it up and then reassign the sicko priests is not just morally repugnant--it's criminal. Can anyone tell me why any Catholic should still have faith in his Church?

I believe homosexuals that can't accept what they are and don't wish to be social pariahas join the priesthood so they can escape their sexuality. Some succeed some don't. The temptation to be a respected part of a community instead of a reject or part of an ostracized sub-culture has to have a lot of appeal to some.
I bet this sharade has been going on for centuries
This church has had branches split off from it almost from inception, probably for reasons such as this.

Can anyone tell me why any Catholic should still have faith in his Church? You got me there. All I know is that the problems really seemed to get out of hand as more and more homosexuals like Law advanced to positions of power.
Until he's gone not one cent goes to the Catholic Church....we're giving directly to a convent for retired nuns from the now closed catholic school in our neighborhood.
