Bill Clinton failed to lead the Democratic Party during last month's midterm elections, the Rev. Al Sharpton said yesterday, and the former president is now compounding the party's poor showing by blaming others.

"For him to say that the Democrats failed to bring out a message is wrong," Mr. Sharpton said in an interview with The Washington Times. "He was the messenger, he was the one out there and helped run the campaign, him and [Democratic National Committee Chairman] Terry McAuliffe. So how can he give an objective opinion with his subjective involvement?"

We want AL in 2004.

Just imagine if we all crossed the line, registered in our individual states as democraps and voted for all in the RAT primary.

Perhaps he doesn’t win, but he does get a prime time speaking spot at the democrap national convention.

I’m jumping the fence if he runs and voting in the RAT primary. The ultimate FReep?

I'm from a part of Upstate New York with a lot of dairy farmers. It's a pretty conservative area (especially for NY)but it wouldn't surprise me to learn that some of those farmers vote for the most liberal Dem available to ensure continuation of their dairy subsidies. With all their government handouts, some of those Upstate farmers are bigger "welfare queens" than anybody in the South Bronx.

C) Washington DC

with a possibility of F) South Dakota if they keep building polling places on Indian burial grounds.

And to think I received a 24-hour timeout back in early 2000 when I pushed my "GORE-SHARPTON 2000" campaign parody a little too far. :o)

While I'm no fan of AL's, I love it when he speaks the truth about bent willie klinton, the U.S.A.'s leading PEE WEE pervert

No one should underestimate Al Sharpton. He is no dummy. While he will never get elected president, he will have the ability to exert a lot of power. So far he hurts Democrats more than Republicans and, as long as that is the case, I kind of enjoy watching his act.

Each of the following states/districts have 3 electoral votes. Which one will Al Sharpton win if he runs in 2004?

C) Washington DC

That and the state of New York City, after all, they elected Hillary.

I think you are correct. The tip-off in the last election was when the Iowa Farm Bureau endorsed Tom Harkin for re-election. He's brought home more goodies for "farmers" than just about anyone I can think of.

I have to wonder what Sharpton's ulterior motive is in criticizing Clinton like this. Perchance he feels that Clinton has fallen from the good graces of the Democratic faithful?

Don't kid yourself. He is one smart sumb*tch.

He's had Bubba's number from the start and now he wants to rub some reality in Bubba's face.

Lucky for us Sharpton is going to use his talents to make the Demos even less competitive than they are now. Just enjoy the show!

You are kidding right?

Sharpton wants hush money! He will have to be paid to go away. Jesse Jackson did the same thing when Dukakis was running for president.

A few million will show up in a numbered account somewhere months before the Primaries, and Sharpton will slink back into the shadows.

Ah, well that would be the ulterior motive I was speaking of. :)

When Sharpton isn't race-baiting he has a disturbing habit of being a rather astute commentator.
