Those were the days
Boy, the way Nirvana played!
Real music, no charade.
Prosperous peace; we had it made.
Those were the days.
We enjoyed our lives back then.
Things were run by better men.
Yes, we all can use a man like Mr. Clinton again.
Stock market would hit the heights.
People still had civil rights.
Clinton beat his foes in fights.
Those were the days!

Bilbo was lucky enough to be elected after 12 years of Reagan/Bush. The economy he takes credit for was the Reagan economy, built from 1983 on. Reagan cut taxes and got (some) of the government off the backs of business, got out of the way and BOOM--the economic boom of the 80s-90s was born.

Yes, we all can use a man like Mr. Clinton again. Yeah, I often wax nostalgic about the days when we has a president who had his butt tounge-wiped by interns and then finishes himself off in the sink. Those were the days, alright.

Kurt Cobain thought those were the days so much that he killed himself smack dab in the middle of them!
