Latino Sex Offenders turn Caucasian in Arizona
Arizona Department of Public Safety ^ | December 4th, 2002 | Comments by Sabertooth

Something remarkable is happening to sexual predators in Arizona, if they happen to be Latino

At some point between conviction and placement on the official Arizona Sex Offender Website, Latinos are transformed into Caucasians.

Here are a few examples (mug shots and addresses omitted, but available on the site)

Notice that the racial designation for these sex offenders with Spanish surnames is "W," as in "White." The mugshots wouldn't link, but you can go look for yourself, these convicted Sexual Predators are unmistakably Latino.

Is it a reasonable expectation that Arizona police reports on sexual crimes routinely identify Latino suspects as being White?

So, why is the Arizona Department of Public Safety routinely classifying Latino sex offenders as being White? According to their website, there doesn't appear to be a Latino sex offender in the entire State of Arizona.

Don't believe me? Test it yourself.

Go to the Arizona Sex Offender Website.

Then click on "search" over on the left.

You'll get a dropdown menu. Choose "name."

In the search field, enter any Latino surname you can think of... Valdez, Jimenez, Gomez, etc. Submit Query.

Then click on one of the profiles that comes up. You'll get a mugshot of a Latino sex offender, with some vital statistics.

Then look at the perp's race. "W." Always "W."

Latino sex offenders in AZ are routinely being reclassified as Caucasians.

I wonder why? I wonder where else this is happening?

I went to the sex offender website and sent them a message asking them about this. If I get a reply I'll post it.

Not in the schools, not in the Census, and not on police reports. Sorry, didn't help at all.

I think it was Los Angles where the crime reports that cops filled out had Hispanic as a victim category but not as a perpetrator category. Leading to such distorted results as when a Hispanic street gang encountered a Black street gang you had Hispanic and Black victims but only Black and White perpetrators.

Old anthrolopology textbooks listed races as categories such as Negroid, Caucasian, Mongoloid, etc. So, in the classical sense of race, where else would they fit? Many Latinos are descendants of Native American bloodlines as well as European. Latino/Hispanic implies ethnicity, not race. Seems that Caucasian might be the best given these limitations.

Sorry you think your gene pool has been muddled.
Go to the site and click as instructed. They ain't "white", but it does help to maintain the illusion that the American white male is the greatest threat to civilization.

Besides, you've missed the point entirely... when these guys' relatives are applying for schools, jobs, or fedgov cash, do you think they're still categorized as "white"? Ahhhhhhh.... there's the rub. Get it yet?

I used to work for the federal government in public health. The only categories for race available are white, black, asian/pacific islander and american indian/alaskan native.
I guess you missed the census, then?.. It had, as I recall, several different "latino" categories, even including "Chicano".

I've given a police report in Los Angeles where the suspect was Latino, and gotten a follow up call where that was still on the report.

I threw my census in the trash. I didn't even look at it. When the little geek came by to collect the data I told him there were 5 people living in my house and I'll see ya later. He huffed and puffed but nothing ever came of it.

At this point, I'm beginning to not want to be White, we're responsible for all the world's problems - oh, wait a minute, that the Joos- but anyway, it's all our fault.
Of course it is... 'cause even the "Joos" are "whiteys", too.

Well, then you missed the hysterical fodder in that piece of crap... I had endless "material" for "trash the libs comedy" from the census. They had several different Asian categories, many different categories for blacks and Latinos, and then, simply, Caucasian, which was to include the rest of the planet earth, from Sweden to Iraq and all places in between. (Freaks.)

I haven't had a chance to look through all of these yet...

                               Criminal Offenders
              Sex Offender Registries

I've skimmed a few. Unless the perp is obviousaly black with a Spanish surname, Alaska appears to categorize Latino sex offenders as White or Native American; Colorado as White; Illinois as White or Unknown; Florida as White; Montana doesn't give race; North Dakota uses American Indian or Alaskan Native; New Mexico uses White; South Carolina uses White. I couldn't get the Texas site to work, although in the past I was able to get either Latino or Hispanic.

Hmmm...

I don't remember for sure what jurisdiction but the return call may have read your statement including Latino even if the checkbox used to build statistics had White.

This is an outgrowth of the way the US Dept. of Justice skews crime statistics against whites. Latinos ("Hispanics" in official parlance) are counted as "white" if they are perpetrators but counted as "hispanic" if they are victims. There is no logial explanation for this other than it being a deliberate attempt to distort crime statistics.

Hispanics are only "Hispanic" when they are victims of crimes, especially hate crimes.

Also when lining up for Affirmative Action programs. They can be blonde-blue eyed and wealthy but they can still count as an underprivileged minority. I don't think "hispanic" or "latino" are races anyhow. They don't very well describe people ---I think the terms shouldn't be used. If someone has Irish or German ancestry, they may look the same but get different labels but for some weird reason it's been decided to lump people of Cuban, Guatemalan, Puerto Rican, Mexican descent together as "hispanics" but others like people from Spain, Brazil, Argentina don't usually get called that. Plus some people from Mexico don't get called "hispanics" either even if they have the citizenship and speak fluent Spanish.
