How about your own life? Perhaps you are being sarcastic and left the sarcasim out?
Unfortunately I have been driving my wife to Omaha from here in Topeka for visits to the Lied Transplant Center. If gas were $3.00 a gallon it would cost me more to drive there than to stay there. Would I volunteer to fight a Gulf War type battle for stable oil prices: Yes. Would I spend two years in Viet Nam for the same thing, probably not. Of couse the difference here is a clear. Our objective to maintain our fragile economy, fight the war on terror as well as eliminating the threat SH poses to the entire world, make this a viable war.

Are we fighting a "war" on terror or are we fighting a "war" against SH? It seems to me that a "real war" on terror would involve naming all the countries who aid, abet and harbour terrorists. Isn't that the Prez's own criteria?
I for one would never put my own life or anyone elses life at risk to fight for oil. I would change my lifestyle before sending men to be killed just to keep my lifestyle and get cheaper gas.
How very sad that you feel that way. So, in the final analysis, it's about lifestyle and nothing else? It's about cheaper oil? You are willing to possibly leave your wife a widow for the sake of cheaper gas? Wow, how very telling.
