One side of my family comes from Missouri. I know that because they told me so. Sure, it's a recent "oral history"; but it's the same thing for the "myths" told by groups of people. I tend to believe them over some high-falutin', self-important academic! So when I read of vindications like this, it pleases my heart.

Those websites were interesting, weren't they? (The other URL's I posted)

BTW, did you know they discovered a new group of orangutans in the Borneo forests? That's my favorite animal, so this makes me very happy. The story is at: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/2510803.stm

"So some historians connect Akhenaton with Moses because it was thought that Akhenaton was banished from Egypt into the region of Canaan, which was occupied by Blacks called Canaanites.

So many stories.

Yup. I knew about the new orangs.
