Every American understands the challenge of our economy in very personal ways.

"As I would if it weren't for my Sugar Mama."

Lifetime savings have been wiped out by greed, bad judgment, criminal activity and the natural course of economic cycles.

"Ha-ha, suckers! I got mine on the dot-com boom, thank you for buying my Enron shares at $90!"

Jobs have been lost - retirements postponed - personal debt has increased and more and more of our fellow Americans are squeezed out of health care.

"Meanwhile, I get my hair cut for only $150, what a bargain!"

You have to give him credit for one thing, at least he is making some thoughtful comments on real issues, even if his methods and conclusions are questionable. The fact remains that is he is making some definite statements about some important issues, which is a whole lot more than EITHER candidate for the White House was doing a couple of years ago.

Man, I still have flashbacks to the last election. "Lockbox." "Prescription drugs for the elderly." "Lockbox." "No child left behind." "Lockbox" "Saving Social Security." "Lockbox". "Did I mention prescription drugs for the elderly?" "Lockbox".

AAARRRRGGGGHHHH! I just about put a brick through my television during the "debates". What a bunch of empty rhetoric.

So give this giant fake credit for at least seeming to appear thoughtful. It's a big improvement over what I've heard discussed as "issues" by the last group of presidential candidates.
