I'm starting to worry that Bush has backed himself into a corner with these inspections.

Charles Krauthammer, when he appears on FNC with the beltway boys, has been warning about this for awhile. Cause for concern, no doubt.

I think these inspections are just formality for the world crowd. I believe war with Iraq is as certain as paying taxes in April. This is like the police who have cased a known dope dealer. They have to get a search warrant, have to read the thug his rights, etc. before hauling him away.

I believe Condi Rice said that we can present a list of "known" components and Iraq must produce each item or be attacked. Of course cynicaly, we could add things to the list or toss in some contraband during inspection. The police do this sometimes to a know criminal when the evidence cannot be produced. They toss something in his car and bingo they have him. Saddam is going down as surely as Al Capone. To get Capone, they finally nailed him on income tax evasion. It really did not matter, they got him and we will get Saddam.
