Insider sources tell me that Hunter Bates will be named as Fletcher's Lt. Governor running mate. This is an outrage. Bates is young, inexperienced and is a lacky for McConnell (McFraud). This is McConnell's end-run to attempt to control the Governor's office. He's a ego-maniac who's out of control.

As a Kentucky Republican, I will not stand for this elitist crap anymore. I will not support Fletcher in the Primary and, if by some chance he wins the nomination, I will openly oppose him.

Attorney General Ben Chandler (grandson of former Governor A.B. 'Happy' Chandler) will pick Charlie Owens, a conservative businessman from Louisville...that makes for a strong moderately conservative Democrat ticket, and one which will trounce meek-mouthed Fletcher and McFraud's butt-plug Bates in the Fall.

The GOP establishment will fall in behind Meek-Mouth Fletcher and young Master Bates because McFraud demands it. The rank and file need to reject this back-handed power grab by McFraud and support Steve Nunn...a down-to-earth Republican with the experience and credentials to be an exceptional Governor, not a snake oil salesman like Fletcher/Master Bates.

VOTE NUNN! To save the KY GOP!

If supporting the candidate of McConnell, the Red Chinese sell-out, then that makes me a Rat. I will not blindly support an elitist group of anal-retentive neophytes.

I admit that I don't like Mitch McConnell too much. Rick Santorum is a much more telegenic figure, and he cuts a better image for the party.

That being said, Fletcher is an excellent Congressman, and he would run well against any Democrat. I hope he reconsiders his running mate selection.

Would you support Fletcher-Nunn?

Well, he didn't get it. Voted for a Republican stalwart Andrew Oversby as a declared write-in candidate. Look, it's about standing on conservative principles, which McFraud doesn't have. The problem is KY Dems won't tell the Chinese money connection on him for some reason. If they'd pull the trigger on that one, he'd be toast.

Good post CF.

S Nunn is a likable man and my second choice for gov.

My first choice is Senator Virgil Moore, a more liberty oriented candidate. And less of a tax and spender than is Steve Nunn, who scored a perfect zero on the Ky Taxpayer United score card.

If you want to know more, you can FReep mail me.
