UN solemnly marks International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People29 November The United Nations today solemnly marked the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People amid widespread calls for efforts to achieve a two-State solution to the Middle East conflict. This Day of Solidarity is a day of mourning and a day of grief, Secretary-General Kofi Annan told a commemorative meeting in a message delivered on his behalf by Chef de Cabinet S. Iqbal Riza. Deploring the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, he noted that the human and material losses suffered by the Palestinians over the past two years have been nothing short of catastrophic. The Secretary-General pointed out that Israels excessive and disproportionate use of force only serves to intensify rage, desperation and a desire for revenge. At the same time, cruel and devastating terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians, including suicide bombings, have claimed large numbers of innocent lives while setting back the Palestinian cause. The result of these actions has been the near-total destruction of the belief on either side that there is genuine partner for a just peace, he observed. Despite this grim picture, Mr. Annan underscored the importance of efforts to tackle the problem by achieving a two-State solution. Members of the diplomatic Quartet the UN, United States, European Union and Russian Federation have been working with the parties on a road map to achieve a final settlement within three years. With the intensified efforts of all of us, the day will come sooner rather than later, when the Palestinian people will be finally able to enjoy their inalienable rights, including the right to self-determination and to a sovereign State called Palestine, he said. Also addressing the meeting, General Assembly President Jan Kavan of the Czech Republic called for the prompt resumption of Israeli-Palestinian political negotiations. He noted that the international community has come out strongly against the extrajudicial assassinations of suspected Palestinian militants, and against terrorist acts of Palestinian extremists. The anguish, frustration and anger of the Palestinians is understandable, the President said, but tactics of terror and suicide bombing are counterproductive. The recent terrorist attack in Mombasa will be justifiably condemned the world over but the Palestinian cause will not be advanced a single inch forward just the contrary, he said. Mr. Kavan stressed that the UN should continue to maintain a permanent responsibility towards the question of Palestine until two independent States Israel and Palestine live in peace side by side within secure, recognized and respected borders. The Chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, Papa Louis Fall of Senegal, said the root cause of the prevailing violence remains the occupation of Palestinian territory by Israel and its perpetuation of illegal actions, including curfews, arrests, detentions, the demolition of houses, the devastation of farmlands, the deliberate pursuit of the settlements policy and extrajudicial executions. Noting efforts by the Quartet to develop a plan for a sovereign Palestinian State by 2005, he called on the leaders of the two parties, and the wider international community, to take bold and difficult decisions to achieve this end. |

When will they learn that to Arabs, a "dhimmi" is what the N-word was to some rural Southerners in 1940?

Arafat, Annan and Mandela. These names together make me sick already.

Look at Arafat! He looks really like he is in love! No wonder he sent his wife to Paris!
I also see his pizza-restaurant table-cloth this time serves as a wedding-veil!

And it just happens to coincide with Ayatollah Khomeini's "Jerusalem Day." What a shock!?!

The UNO is a product of the most murderous, insidious, and invidious ideology to have developed in the past two hundreds of years: Communism. It has but one goal: Power. It cares nothing for life, for liberty, for freedom, for justice. It exists solely to pursue power, in the tradition of its founders, of its ideological comrades-in-arms, the godless Bolshevik horde.
Like Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev, like Iosif Vissarionovich Stalin, like Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, the UNO is dedicated to the naked lust for power, for domination, and it will stop at nothing to discredit and destroy those who oppose it.
Indeed, the pursuit of power at the expense of human freedom, at the expense of human life, directly in conflict with freedom of will, is evil. The UNO is evil. Can there be any question of why it supports international terrorism and racism?
The holy Gospel tells us that when the Father of Lies tempted our Lord and Saviour in the desert, he quoted Scripture. Let there be no doubt that evil, in all its forms, is not above using the fraudulent mask of truth and justice to gain its ends.
And that is precisely what the UNO does -- and this is fitting, as the UNO is very much the tool of the Father of Lies in the modern world.
That is how the Secretary-General can keep a straight face when he talks of "excessive and disproportionate" use of force (Would he say the same of the UNO-sponsored rape of Katanga, in the Congo?), and talk of "just peace" (The same justice that kept the noble Caudillo banned from the UNO but gladly embraced "Uncle Joe" and gave him three votes in the General Assembly?).
The UNO hides behind the specious mask of zeal for the rights of the individual, of thirst for justice and hunger for truth. It protests its love of good, and, as the godless Bolsheviks of the so-called Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, it is not above using those whose love for good is genuine.
Hence, the UNO used the genuine anti-Communism of the honest citizenry of the United States, and thus was fought the Korean War, and thus was fought the Vietnam War -- both ultimately futile, due to the criminal incompetence of the dishonest and deceitful politicos who oversaw them.
The Palestinians are genuine in their hatred of the Israelis. That much can be said for certain (although the same cannot be said for Yasser Arafat, who actually commended the Bolshevik horde on their invasion of Afghanistan, so dependent was he on Communist funding). That the UNO has no real interest in the Middle East except in destroying a threat to its world hegemony, there can be no question.
The UNO, therefore, actively perpetuates the conflict. By its unilateral support of Palestine in a completely unreasonable attempt to create a sovereign state from the integral territory of another, it is providing the Palestinians with a false hope, and engendering in them an even more irrational hatred of the state of Israel.
The UNO's irresponsible and reprehensible behaviour is entirely inappropriate and inexcusable. It is helping to facilitate and to intensify the very conflict to which it claims to wish to put an end. It is helping to prolong a siege of terror, to tear asunder the ancient wall of Jerusalem and to erect in its place a wall of implacable hatred and mutual self-destruction.
But I do not despair. For, though it may not happen now, and it may not happen tomorrow -- or even for the remainder of our natural lives -- but surely, as surely as I live and breathe, the UNO and the terroristic heathens it supports will pay the price for their perfidious and unconscionable behaviour.
For the Father of Lies is merciless, and has nothing but contempt for even those who gladly serve him -- for even those who gladly serve him, at the same time denying his very existence. The Communists and terrorists, criminals and malefactors, will indeed suffer for their crimes against God and against man. Evil to him who evil thinks.

Is Kofi Annan moslem?
To: nightdriver
Truly, does it matter if the Secretary-General is Muslim?
Evil is evil is evil is evil. He could be Catholic, Episcopalian, Zoroastrian, or Mithraic, and it would not change the fact that he is the acknowledge evil of a den of scum and villainy, a wretched hive of iniquity and unspeakable evil.
