Maybe the clarity of which you speak is root cause for the high rates of recidivism? In any case, whatever ills heavy marijuana use is alleged to cause, I don't see that incarceration results in improvement.

I was speaking of prison not pot. For the record, although I'm anti-objectitivist, I don't think folks should go to jail for pot...in fact my own experience has demonstrated to me that pot is a lesser evil than alcohol.
