David Horowtiz at Bucknell University Monday Night (12/2/02)

Posted on 11/28/2002 11:16:47 AM PST by Doctor Raoul

Horowitz is being brought to Bucknell courtesy of the College Republicans and Young America's Foundation.

He's due to appear at 7 pm at the Gallery

This event is open to the general public (that means you) and is FREE!

I saw Horowitz at Delaware. Pray that some liberals come to do battle because it's a great show.

Ops, that's Bucknell's "Conservatives Club and the "Gallery Theater" is where he's appearing.

Contact Charles Mitchell '05, Vice President for The Counterweight, counterweight@bucknellconservatives.org for details.

Bucknell's impressive wrestling tradition was just eliminated at the altar of diversity:

How do you get only 9.9 or 4.5 of people getting a scholaship? Soccer player without a foot or maybe a tennis player without arms?

I just might go to this thing. Only an hour away. Besides, my son is getting feelers from the soccer coach. That'll end after he does his SAT's. lol.

A few weeks back Mr. Horowitz was at Indiana Wesleyan University. I was pleased to see many students in attendance. His informative talk was well worth the evening out.

Eunuchs! No, seriously though, scholarships are often divided among players such that it's probably best to view 9.9 scholarships as $99K, and 4.5 scholarships as $4.5K.

Thank you. I know colleges are not allowed to offer scholarships or grants to Juniors, but coaches wordings have been very interisting.

One coach said, I am sure we could get "a half" of your indebitness. Interisting.

BTW, I'll take it, right now. But, they all are saying, depending upon SAT's.

One that shocked us was, of all places, Alabama. What on earth do they know about soccer? It seems there is a new coach there building a program. Hey, what do I know? Nothing.

Other feelers are from Ryder, what is that a truck Rental company? Hartwick, say what, that is my grandparents name? Southern Cal, gees, my son thinks that is in another country? St. Louis, gees, my son thought that was a baseball team? And what on earth is a Valperiso, where he is getting fellers.

Please, let me tell you, there are no firm offers as he is only a Junior now. But their wording is almost direct.........like.........your gonna get something.

Confusing years here. We're just going to sit back, play as a Senior and see what falls.

I do find it encouraging that so many colleges are interested but my big question is how these schools fond his name and abilities?
