Most thoughtful of Saddam not to waste our time. Bombs away!

First get the ducks in a row. THEN go for it.
***
B-2 Spirit: $500 million
KC-10A Extender: $86.3 million
JDAMS: $63,000 each.
Knowing the only warning Saddam will have that we're sick of his crap is a JDAM in his bedroom: PRICELESS.
There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's MasterCard.

I was wondering the same thing. Who, in their right mind, would risk being taken hostage and ultimately their life to be on an inspection team unless they were in cahoots with their host? There may be quite a few on the team who are in Saddam's back pocket. This stinks. I hope all communications from team members are monitored.

I think Saddam DOES have WMD, and he is just playing the waiting game like us. I think he is waiting for the right time to use them. Of course, when he does, the US will retaliate in a violent, spectacular fashion......but that won't stop the people Saddam nails first from being dead.
We should do something NOW, before he gets a chance to use what is up his sleeve.

SADDAM Hussein brought war in Iraq closer last night after hints that UN weapons inspectors would be banned from searching his palaces. Now THAT'S pretty damn quick...

A British diplomat said: It looks like well go down a depressingly familiar route ending in military action. WOW. FReepers are psychic! Kewl!

Thanks for the ping.

Now THAT'S pretty damn quick... You knew this was going to be the result; if Saddam disarmed, his regime would collapse. If he doesn't, he gets shot in the head. He's stalling, but in this situation he can't stall. Total panic on his part.

If there is no material breach there will NEVER be a war. The U.N. inspector team is visiting one site a day and they know they are coming. There are 10,000+ potential sites to inspect, it would take decades to inspect them all.
This U.N. team supposedly doing inspections is perhaps the biggest joke in the world.

I still believe Bush and Blair knows something we don't. There will be a war, certainly. Bush I believe has Saddam on the run - and is just waiting to catch Saddam in a lie. Saddam is in a position where he cannot tell the truth either.

Does anyone remember how many days after the deadline for withdrawing from Kuwait it took for us to start bombing Iraq in 1991?
