I don't believe McCrae had a strong or long presence in Olympia...

It might be helpful to know where Andrew H. Mickel of the 101st Airborne at Ft. Campbell resided after he was discharged. He might well have had a buddy from the Pacific Northwest, a Ranger from the battalion at Ft Lewis, Washington perhaps, with interesting stories about the WTO protest demonstrations/riot in November of 1999.

Since the records for the Andrew Mickel at Ft Campbell indicate service from May 1998 until August 2001, it's not likely that he was there as a participant, unless perhaps he was on leave at the time. But service from May 1998 to May 2001 would indicate a 3-year enlistment; the extra 3 months from May 2001 to August 2001 may reflect *bad time* whil AWOL or otherwise absent, or some other personnel irregularity. Accordingly, possibly worth a look.

When do you think the media will start using Andrew H. Mickel, instead of McCrae?

Do you by chance mean those protesters who were clad in military type op clothes with face masks. The ones who didn't look and act like the usual stoned renta maggot mob?
