Oh I get it. It has to be a whole cell. Lets protect blood cells then. They are human, they are 2n.

the abortion party is the democrats Yet, oddly, the republicans have held the majority of the SCOTUS since 1984 with nary a thought of overturning Roe v. Wade.

"Why are the repukes really against abortion? Because most women that choose this option are white middle class. The repug voting base. If only African Americans or hispanics or just the poor chose abortion they wouldn't give a sh*t. They need to breed white unwanted kids. Children that will be ignored by their parents. Children full of hate. Children that will grow into freepers." What a freakin' moron! Two out of every three black babies are aborted. The numbers for minority abortions are significantly higher than non-white abortions.

If you think that a blood cell will eventually develop into a fully articulated adult human then you certainly need that remedial class.

The potential of a thing contributes to the meaning of that thing.

What I don't understand is why that stupid teacher's union, NEA is so against abortion. Don't they realize that for every 30 children killed, that's one less permanent teaching job?
Stupid is as stupid does.....

I met her 3 years after the abortion, and she still wasn't coping well. If you see her again, tell her about www.projectrachel.org

"Oh I get it. It has to be a whole cell. Lets protect blood cells then. They are human, they are 2n." Yeah! Now you are on the right track! What better way to save all those cells at once than to save the entire person who made them?

If I do I will. But I will probably never see her again. She is a liberal through and through, and New Age on top of that. She thinks all of lifes answers are found in the stars, in Tarot cards, and other entertaining hogwash.

Sperm should be allowed to live too. It is human and it is alive. Sperm is not a live human. That is verifiable and incontrovertible scientific fact.
A pre-born baby is a live human. That is verifiable and incontrovertible scientific fact.

No wonder she can find no peace, as deceived as she is.

And how pray tell did you begin????
To: Lysander
You appear to have trouble with 'hierarchy' of life. It goes something like this: cells make organs, organs make the organism; the human embryo is an organism called a human organism and it is exactly complete at each stage in that human organism's life cycle for that stage in the lifetime; in human organisms, the organism begins at conception and continues to develop for deacdes unless executed or death by 'natural cause'. A cell, beit blood cell or skin cell or heart muscle cell or even gamete, is a subunit of an organ that is in turn a subunit of the organism.
That was too easy. Got any more hangups?

If you think that a blood cell will eventually develop into a fully articulated adult human then you certainly need that remedial class. But the nucleus can develop into a fully articulated adult human when placed in the right environment can it not? (called a clone) Ok, I will revise my position we should protect the cell nucleus of cells, that when placed in the proper environment have a potential to become a fully articulated adult human. ...wait a minute that sounds like a sperm to me.

Human parts are not human beings.
Uncommon Common Sense
To: Lysander
when placed in the right environment can it not? In other words, a set of circumstances that could never happen in nature. Spending millions of dollars to force a cell into a path of development which it would never take on its own.
Nope. A fertilized egg will develop into a human adult in normal course. Unless it dies of natural causes or someone murders it before it becomes an adult.

I liked the one that Dr Laura always said, she can kill it but she can't wave goodbye to it.

What I don't understand is what is magical about 30 days? Why stop then, why not make it anytime you feel tired of the little bugger?
To: matthew_the_brain
And human parts do not come from non-humans.
