This writer doesn't quite get it.

People go to the "niches" because they are tired of the mainstream media's Liberal slant on the news.

I always said that if it were compulsory for every adult in the USA to listen to Rush for five days, the the political debate would not be between liberals and conservatives, it would be between those who work (or have worked) and those who refuse to work. It would be that simple.
