I don't want to defend Michael Jackson, who is obviously insane, but I can think of worse cases of parenting than him. Susan Smith, anyone? Or even Frank Zappa, who saw fit to name his children "Dweezle" and "Moon Unit"? Michael Jackson's wealth and oddity have made him a big target, but read the newspaper just about any day and you can read about much worse than anything he's known to have done.
