Outstanding! And Semper Fidelis from a grateful civillian!

Outstanding? I guess, but he's not the first. In the 60s, a Marine Ssgt jumped on some power lines and lost a leg. He finished his career with the same guts and determination.

He is one of those due to whom this country is great despite all the assault from the Left.
G-d bless this marine and our great country that continues to produce such fine citizens.

If I recall correctly; the USMC had the first UAV units in the US (called RPVs) and he was the first CO.

He does sound like a good one. I suspect a lot of jobs require intelligence and courage more than physical ability.
My Father told me once that during WWII, they captured a German unit in Belgium. The Germans were carrying their commanding officer who had no arms or legs.

This is a touching picture! I do remember once when my youngest daughter was in her HS's marching band, and they played in our local summer parade. There was a man sitting on the curb not too far from where I was sitting. He had long hair and beard, and looked a little bit hippy-like.
I don't know how old he was, maybe in late 40's or early 50's. Anyway, when the color guards with the flags came past; I was surprised, and touched to see him get up off the curb; stand up straight, and put his hand over his heart when they went back. He could've been a veteran; I don't know. But it just goes to show you that you can't always judge a book by it's cover! Maybe that's what I was doing. It was an eye-opener!
