.......before the new Republicans even took office, Bush has control of 16 DEMOCRATIC Senators. Look at the cloture vote on Homeland Security. It was 65 to 29. Bush had 16 Democrats who had served the last two years fighting him, now voting with him. Note that 6 Democrats didn't even show up to vote.........

Bears repeating

"Why Daschle Attacked Rush"

Because attacking the "right-wing conspiracy" worked so well when Hillary! had to find someone to blame for Bubba's nasty 'ole DNA match?

So little Tommy distracts from the red-hot poker applied to him by whacking a hornets nest. Good plan tommy, keep up the good work.

"Bush got homeland security with the same senators who had blocked bush in 2001 and 2002."

The Dims saw the writing on the wall....and they only voted to save their hides.

One of the six democrats that did not show up was Teddy Kennedy. Teddy was in Paris for a Jackie Kennedy..etc thing. He did make it back to vote no on the final passage.

The funny think was Daschle voted for final passage. Daschle put out rumors that he was not going to run in 2004 for re-election. He was likely just trying to stop Rove from working on defeating him already. But his vote tells you me intends to run in 2004.

But it shows the level of Daschles intelligence. The Limbaugh attack had to be a diversionary tactic. It was not going to hurt Rush. It would not help the Democratic agenda one bit. It would just motivate the right. At least 40 or 50 million americans have listened to Rush for more than a few minutes. Nearly half the voters know what Daschle said was a lie.

It had to be to divert attention. The congress had ajourned. It had to be that what had just happened required the diversion. He must have beleived that people would notice what had happened to him. The truth is no one cared. Bush's exercise in power was not done for public consumption. It was done as payback to Daschle. Not public payback. Just payback. The senators noticed, a few media noticed, but they would not report it.

Daschle does not understand that.

Daschle is getting easy to read. Bush is going to play with Tommy a lot. Maybe Gephardt did have it figured. Get out of Dodge before the shoot out at the OK coral starts.

I think tommyboy is trying to start a little tif to put a new story in the media. Vast right wing conspiracy angle I think. Blame Rush for his own failings. Fact is that Dashole and the Dims could have done better if he/they had only listened to Rush themselves and learned where they were screwing up. Rush was telling them all along what they were doing wrong but they wouldn't listen. Poetic justice!

Based on Tommie D's logic democrats are responsible for death threats on the president.

Here's some shrill dem rhetoric:

The president is stupid.

The president wants to attack Iraq without evidence.

The president's inaction on global warming is immoral.

The president doesn't care about the earth because he doesn't support the Kyoto Treaty.

The president's economic policies are responsible for a bad economy.

The president want's to take away seniors soc security.

These kind of allegations have lead to many death threats against W if we believe the logic we've been hearing. The dems owe the president and his family an apology and need to curb their shrill rhetoric.
