Here's a much gloomier story for those of us who would prefer to become more aware of our country's problems (in hopes of our collectively tackling them) rather than think of sweet nothings most of the time in hopes that such problems will evaporate. This week the U.S. national debt just reached an all time high of $6.3 trillion dollars:

When will baby boomers start retiring in droves and trying to collect social security at taxpayers' expense? By the end of the decade?

Most Americans would love it if their debt was just 17% of their yearly salary. The debt is nothing to be afraid of at 17% of GDP, matter of fact it has kept the liberals in check from spending even more money on worthless social programs.
