Many years ago our local RC Church had Saul Alinsky action classes and "actions" I was young and had no clue who he was.I went on a couple. One of the profitible things I picked up is a bit of assertivness when dealing with business..need a refund or exchange send me. I never raise my voice or act nasty..but those classes taught me how to use body language and a firm tone of voice to impress them with the fact I am not going anywhere untill they take care of my problem..you would not believe the refunds and substitutes I have been given over the years..Saul taught me I am not helpless ...He is surely a socialist , but sometimes we learn good lessons from our enemies:>)
Yeah, I had to read Saul Alinsky's stuff in grad school. He's all the rage with libs.
But when you read some of his really hardcore stuff, you discover that he advocated the nastiest tricks under the sun. As one fellow has commented, Alinksy wanted results "now." He was mapping out ways to achieve political power in a relative short time frame, to achieve essentially total control of society by radical socialists. He regarded ethics as something to be worried about later.
