Tube Bender sent me reply that the city council of Eureka is now basically liberal like Arcata.
Hopefully he will reply.

It just points out how concentrated, and not at all broad-based, his support is.
I know...that and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee. I just think it's interesting to see how, even in victory, the Democrats are somewhat marginalized, and how they have lost any support in most of rural America.

Well, they were always a bit too liberal for my taste, anyhow. But, Eureka badly needs new investment, and it won't get any by getting even more liberal. They need some people running the show who understand that business and industry are not bad words.
Eureka is yet another place that has been crippled by the War on the West.

They're kinda like Roaches in an apartment, if you eliminate all sources of food (really difficult) they will head over to your neighbor (Sorry Grampa Dave, that means California).
They also hate to be illuminated, just look at Dasshole squirming under the spotlight of conservative media. Just like roaches scurrying away when the lights are turned on.
As far as SUVs go, I think they are more motivated by the sight of the front pumpkin on your HD Ram filling the rear view mirror of their Subaru. That and they simply hate capitalism, the environment is a red herring.

If Republicans want to win statewide elections in Oregon they need to start getting votes where people live, not where cows live. It's that simple. Rumor has it that the voters in Portland, Salem, and Eugene are more bovine that human.

No. I have goats, which are part of the same family (Bovidae), and my goats are a heck of a lot smarter than most of the people in Portland.

"Which is why the envirialists and their butt buddies the Rat Polis want to get us out of our SUVs/pickups and depending on Public Transportation."
Which is why the enviro-whackos want to restrict land use and routinely engage in land grabs. The more people they can force into the cities, the more people they can control.

Yep, the Watermelon Green Jihadists practice and work on rural cleansing 24/7. Then, they want to jam us into the inner Goron voting cities about 5,000 per acre. Feed us recycled food, work us where and when they want us to work, make us ride public transportation and give us some type of drugs to keep us mellow. They want total control over us 24/7/365.

Don't you mean Arcata? Eureka, as far as I can tell, is still controlled by the same old people as when I lived there. I see the Mayor is still hanging in there.Arcata moved left of the Greenies in the last election but it remains to be seen about Eureka. The new Mayor was backed by the 'Rat party and because there were 7 candidates running and the conservative lost by 42 votes. The Mayor of Eureka has very little power and only votes in a tie breaker.

Astoria, largest city in Clatsop County, is also a strong union town. They still have have large unemployed group (mostly from lumber industry) who rely heavily on the public dole...most likely to vote the lefty way.

"rural cleansing"
Nice turn of phrase.
"work us where and when they want us to work, make us ride public transportation and give us some type of drugs to keep us mellow. They want total control over us 24/7/365"
Control the opportunities (jobs), control the people.
They don't need drugs to control us, they just need to be able to indoctrinate our children, which they can do more effectively in centralized public schools.
Take away our cars, take away another chunk of our independence.
The AristocRATS want to eliminate the middle class to keep themselves perpetually elevated as the elite. That is why they tax the industrious, the creative and even the lucky.
Import hordes of "peasants" both legally and illegally to dilute the middle class and to balkanize the electorate (divide and conquer).

The first I saw or heard the term Rural Cleansing, was in Wall Street Journal Article during the attempted Klamath Basin Cleansing last year.
Re the drugging, this is a key element of their controlling our behavior. My wife works for a family practice group, and they get about 3-5 requests each week from distraught parents who have been told by boy hating teachers to put their children on Ritalin and often on Paxil. The office refuses to do this and drives these boy hating phoney teachers up the wall.
The enviralists in control of Oregon want to raise Hemp where they shut down farms and ranches. They look at the money that will bring in and the control it will have when used as a drug.
There is a very scary thread on FR now about how these Watermelon Jidhadists want to close down farms all over the free world. I will come back on a separate reply and link you to it.
Thanks for your well thought out reply.

Re the drugging, this is a key element of their controlling our behavior.Exactly. Most girls, no matter how they're raised, end up on the liberal/emotional side of issues. It takes a hell of an effort to get a majority of boys to see things the same...hence the constant battering of them and their "soon-to-be" manly psyches...
The enviralists in control of Oregon want to raise Hemp where they shut down farms and ranches. They look at the money that will bring in and the control it will have when used as a drug.
Hemp is actually a very "industrial" plant. Better than the cotton on your back. And the reason the enviralists push its use is that it is far less damaging to the land when used as a bulk crop.
They look at the money that will bring in and the control it will have when used as a drug.
Oregon, or any other state for that matter, could make a killing farming that stuff. It's good for just about anything, manufacturing wise. Stronger than fiberglass and can be softer/more durable than cotton. A great fiber regradless of its potential use as a drug (farm grade hemp is useless as a drug BTW).
It's not like Oregon could use a new crop, especially one that would be immune to enviral heckling.

I know that hemp is a great industrial and clothing fabric. However with over 30 years of pharmacology, I can tell you the hemp they want can serve as a drug as well as a great industrial product! It just depends on what part you harvest, when and how it is used.
To: Grampa Dave
I didn't know that....I was under the impression that for the crop to be sturdy (for industrial purposes) they had to be bred away from producing THC because that process (producing THC) weakens the plants structure.

Like anything in agriculture you can select out the qualities that you want from the original. The end products still have some of the original traits qualities.
The liars at Humboldt State U have been lying about this for decades.
My wife comes from North Central Illinois. During WWII they planted a lot of hemp along the canals and rivers to provide hemp rope and products for the war. It still grows as a feral crop in many areas. About a decade ago some hemp experts started making early withdrawals of the product. They were not making hats or ropes. This was one of the hemps that had been selected as a fiber crop.

This is so very pathetic. Time to bring back the state of Jefferson. Keep in mind that Jackson county was blue even with the burden of ASHLAND.
