You're missing the point: people will do ANYTHING to get on television. Are you aware that most of the contestants on that idiotic show Survivor hired their own agents and publicists, even if they were only on the show one week? I'm sure some of these women saw an appearance on this show, however humiliating, to be a chance at stardom, perhaps to get a better job, or at a minimum, to make themselves known and very attractive to those bachelors remaining in their own hometowns. As tacky as it is, it beats looking like a fool to the world on jerry springer.
I do understand your point, however, you missed my point, which was men are not willing to be humiliated for the chance to be on TV! That is what the bachelor guy said when Jay asked him if there were 27 guys chasing one bachelorette girl, whould you like to be one? He said no!
As I understand it, that is exactly the next segment of the show; 27 guys chasing one girl. I wonder where they found them; like you, I don't think most men would submit to the public humiliation of it, even if it does bring "stardom".
