Between 1997 and 1999, there were articles about the closing down of HMA. Twice Clinton took action to allow them to continue in business. I recall Clinton actually attending parties at the prisons where, of course, he received campaign funds. A prison official or the head of HMA may have even been a campaign manager of big fundraiser for him. As blood was sucked out of the veins of sick prisoners, yes, Clinton got his cut. Clinton got money everywhere. In his time as governor is the small state of about 1 million people, he appointed over 3,000 people to boards, judgeships, commissions, etc. If you don't want to go look for the trail, that is fine.
